Experience.

I cannot complain. I got to shoot most of the time the things I like. I have started with street photography (back in the “iphonogaphy” days) followed by product and fashion photography (both outdoor and studio). Around that time I got lucky enough to work on promoting hotels and having to set up some serious system with a large volume of work. As for travel photography, it is naturally the utmost fulfilling experience. Today I focus on my 5 favorite fields with my clients.

Gear?

Not that it matters. But it does. Especially since I do not shoot in studio I allow myself to shoot with my favorite gear and depending on the commissioned work or on my personal goals, I always choose a Leica. I’ve got a few.

Why no studio?

I love photography. I really do. That said, I prefer natural light to the one of a studio lighting setup. As for product photography, artificial intelligence and 3D visuals and digital works are great assistants to produce a high quality result with a smartphone and a desk lamp. However I respect and value the skills it takes to prepare and succeed at such shoots. I would just rather create a different kind of art. Less staged.

Why photography?

Photography is life. There is nothing I would rather be doing. At that point it’s like a sweet superpower, you get to see the world, people, interactions, life as it is, and all with your unique perspective. It’s never-ending.

Favorite photographers?

Let’s just say the ones who inspire me so far as a top 10 in no particular order: Robert Capa, Gary Winogrand, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Elliott Erwitt, Martin Parr, Joel Meyerowitz, Greg Williams.
